Anyone started stuttering since 11 y.o? Hey I am not new here and you guys can see I post very much on this sub, helping and supporting my brethrens here. But today I am wondering how many ppl as the same as me started stuttering since 11 y.o or so, aka during pre-adolescence. I am wondering if my stuttering is caused by being small for gestational age without catch-up growth(but my father stutters very slightly and I am wondering if these two factors are cooperating with each other on me). My mother told me I was very small and skinny right after birth as a new born baby and I remain short stauture until now without catch-up growth. So I guess that may contribute to the occurence of my stuttering. I now stutter very slightly to the degree where if I told others I stutter they would be like 'oh do you stutter? Are u kidding?'. I don't know how my stuttering was mitigated so much but I think that's bc I quited caring about my stuttering after 15 y.o, before when I stuttered moderately and in extremis I could barely move my mouth. After I distracted myself off obsessions with my stuttering my stuttering was mitigated a lot but I can still get blocks and very few repeatations currently. But I can lead normal life with my stuttering. (btw what are helping me imo are prolongations and tipsy lisp(I also introduced it in one of my posts named 'Gentle Speech')
