Coming from someone who has achieved fluency, I would say focus on accepting yourself. Your stutter has probably resulted in some very deeply rooted social anxiety or something similar. I know it certainly did with me. And believe it or not, if you remove the stutter, those other issues don't automatically go away. I am fluent, but really my life has not changed much as I am still not confident and comfortable with talking to people. Confidence and fluency are not tied to each other, you can totally achieve one without the other.
