I can see how severe stutter can be very difficult in an interview and it is very hard to change it. I think it's best to understand that it is a downside which needs to be compensated for. Luckily, speech is rarely the most important for a job. On the contrary, in many jobs, it matters little. The best thing about interviews for me is that while stuttering is very unpredictable, I can always count on my skills and knowledge which are 100% the result of my previous efforts. Also, I would say that with experience and education, stuttering becomes less of a hindrance in an interview because the interviewer sees all the prior achievements which signal that the candidate is capable and can deliver even with stuttering.
