This is the right mindset. It's hard for us, but not impossible. I've been with my wife for almost six years now. We met on Tinder, and (if I remember correctly) I even told her I stuttered during the first day while talking online. I think disclosing it, especially when you haven't met the person yet, takes away that 'shock factor' of seeing the stutter for the first time.
