There are three types of stuttering- repetitions (a-a-apple), blocks (can't get a word out), and a third one idk what its called (aaaaaa-apple). I typically have the blocks which is a love-hate relationship. It doesn't sound like a stutter so people might think I don't know my words but also it's easier to hide. I wish I had the notes my SLP gave me but one thing I do during a block is stopping and releasing the tension. I might take a deep breath then try again. Stuttering can change so dramatically it's crazy. I randomly (about 6-7 years after I started stuttering) started to have audible blocks where I would start vocalizing a random sound before a word (kkkkk-apple) but then it stopped. Welcome to the land of "nobody actually knows what's happening." Unfortunately, one tip for all stutterers is to not go into it wanting it to stop but embrace it. This takes so much growth (still hard myself) but may lessen the stutter. You got this :)
