>Stuttering isn’t curable. Maybe I made a mistake by using the word " cure ". What I meant was that SLP's know how to navigate around their stutter and use techniques to talk easy. >SLPs who stutter will use strategies to move through stuttering moments if they choose to, but that doesn’t define their ability as an SLP or their ability to help others work through their stuttering. I'm not trying to cause offense but don't you see how ridiculous this sentence is? SLP's are teaching people how to work through their stuttering.........But the SLP themselves cannot work through *their own* stuttering? Why? If their techniques are supposed to work on their patients, why shouldn't it work on themselves? >Your analogy is flawed (it doesn’t work as a comparison to stuttering/SLPs at all actually) and it leads me to believe you don’t fully understand stuttering nor the role of SLPs in aiding those who stutter. I am a stutterer myself and I know how it works.
