Mental State Anyone else ever feel as if their mental state considerably suffers from stuttering? I feel like this is the worst aspect of this annoying fucking thing, and often the most overlooked one too. In the outside world, most people just perceive stuttering to be a mere technical inability to achieve oral fluency, but don't understand the possible mental ramifications this has on a person. They don't see how, for a lot of people, stuttering equates to being trapped in a fucking prison cell that is one's mind. They don't understand that talking for them is the same as driving down a straight, carless highway, whereas for us it's driving down a street with infinite stop signs that are our mind. I don't even know if that made sense nor do I fucking care. I'm just tired of this.
