There is currently a larger study being conducted at NIH. The sample size is appropriate and the double-blind nature may give a definitive answer. Medication might not be the answer to all stuttering, but anecdotal reports are encouraging. My stuttering was treated with Abilify and psychotherapy and somehow I'm now totally fluent. I'll never know if it was the psychotherapy or the Abilify, but I do know after I had to stop the Abilify(side effects) 3 years ago, I've remained fluent. Who knew?
