English is my first and only language. I did learn basic French in school as it was mandatory and I don't think I stuttered at that stage of my life, if I did it wasn't nearly as bad as it is now. I wish there was more understanding on how a stutter works. It's something so minor but can change a person's life. I count myself lucky that my stutter is mild but it can spike at times. I do speak less though and don't always say what's on my mind if I feel I'll stutter trying to express myself. Everyone's stutter is different but there's bound to be a similar cause to everyone's stutter. I developed mine pretty late in life. I was in high school at the time of my stutter coming out. I did have some bad experiences, not due to high school but external reasons and people say that can cause a stutter to develop but I don't understand how that works
