I'm an SLP and I want to validate you... this is so typical with stuttering- it changes! Also - that cycle of anxiety that you so eloquently described "feeds" the stuttering. Don't look at it as regression if you choose to work with an SLP to target these "trouble areas." Instead, look at it as a "tune up" based on a new area that needs attention. As our life circumstances change and we have transitions, growth, etc. the stuttering can ebb and flow with different people and situations. I have clients that come to me for a few sessions and return later as needed when they feel like they need a "check in" based on their life circumstances. You've got this!
