As sort of an aside, but important nonetheless: > Although I may never fully recover from stuttering, given me current age and the supposedly decreased neuroplasticity that aligns with getting older, I am going to continue improving my speech as much as I can. Two things to mention here. 1: To "fully recover from stuttering" is a quite frankly terrible criteria to apply. Make sure that you think of this in different terms, or else you'll miss all the progress and successes that can be had. 2: No need to think of this in terms of age and "neuroplasticity" either. You haven't "missed your chance" and you aren't "locked in place" now either. You keep working - as you say - and that's the goal: Ongoing maintenance.
