>absolutely nobody is going to be thinking how I stumbled over that word since everybody is focusing on themselves People generally don't hyperfocus on other people as much as people hyperfocus on themselves. This is key. Also, having confidence, fake or not, will have people focusing less on any possible "faults" or reasons why someone would not be confident (like a stutter) but rather "wow this person is so confident in themselves!"
