I began stuttering at the age of three when my grandma commenced to teach me to use my right hand for writing (it was common practice in post Soviet countries). I remember I was angry with this and that is when my stutter appeared. Mother then found out and stopped this. I was ok until five, when I was attacked by the dog. We went to speech therapist and she advised to visit a psychic/whisperer, lol. Funny thing is that whisperer helped and I was ok again till early puberty. During school years I was also nervous due to father's drinking, and in late puberty I was not a talker at all. At uni I almost never took part in discussions with class and interaction with girls, submitting written home task when supposed to speak in front of the audience. Got 'D' for thesis defense, refusing to talk. Now my professional background is 8 years in translation/interpretation, stutter appears quite frequently now and I am even thinking of changing jobs. Please continue therapy, the sooner he'll receive help, the better. Without treatment it is unlikely to get rid of this disorder.
