The immediate and scientifically sound way to address this is to *begin speaking on an exhale*. Then, your lungs will mostly automatically modulate the air pressure so there’s no need to focus on breathing. As OP said, unless you are sn expert in deep breathing, you are likely taking a shallow breath that is *instantly making everything worse*. The best way to release a block is to make eye contact and breathe OUT.
