I stuttered from age 5 and then at 70 became totally fluent. (long story) Our daughter suddenly began to stutter at she 4. I made all kinds of bargains with God that if she was relieved of this burden is do anything. Fortunately, she grew out of it by the time she was 6. Because I stuttered I believed it was genetic. But not always so. I was told many young children go through the stage. But after 6 months don't risk it. Stuttering is a life-altering handicap as you well know.
