Aah, yeah, that is one area that I got lucky in. I started photographing for a social media company on the site, and when they stopped offering photography services, I took some of those clients. Since then, it's been primarily word of mouth. I'd suggest getting involved in your local area. One of my biggest clients is our downtown development authority. Other organizations like a chamber of commerce can help to spread the word as well. Way easier than cold calling!
