I’ve tried it before where I tell people that I stutter and bring it out to the open but it only makes it harder for me. My stuttering gets worst. What really helps my stuttering is taking deep breaths in and out and chewing gum. When I am having a hard time saying a word, I stop myself, take deep breaths and then speak. It usually helps but if I still can’t say something, I change a word here and there and/or make my sentences longer or shorter.
