Absolutely no sense in putting yourself through this pain. Life’s too short to jump on a visible grenade. I was given a speaking exam in college. I told the professor and he said he didn’t care and I had to do what everyone has to do. It was a public college and they had a center for disabilities. I went there and explained my circumstance to the supervisor. I told them you can’t make a wheelchair person run a mile, so you can’t make a stutterer speak. They forced the professor to allow me to give the presentation in private. The last thing a school wants is a lawsuit from a “disabled” person. Politely play the “disabled” card and it may work. The goal is to get through this one situation. Then on to the next
