What I learnt from my speech therapist was to replace the sound at the start of a word with an easier-to-say familiar sounding one; For example, say you were stuck on the word "book" , try saying it with a 'P' at the start with an easy onset (slow and gradually) instead of 'B'. Another example would be replacing 'D' sounding words with the letter 'T' and vice versa.
