Should I leave my job for another??? It really troubles me that I need to think about my speech impediment when deciding to choose a job because for many people they have other factors that they look into. I'm currently working as an accountant at a small business and it has a very good culture, laid back and I like the owners of the company. My pay is average and there are no real benefits aside from health insurance but I am pretty sure they are giving me a raise soon as well. However, I've been offered a job at a large corporate company with higher pay, 401k, benefits, etc. Taking this job will expand my skillset and knowledge but I know I will have more anxiety because I've worked at a corporate environment before - there will be more meetings, interactions, etc. - which worries me about my stuttering of course. Edit: One that I forgot to mention earlier was that I sprained my neck a few years ago and have developed chronic pain and occasional migraines. It's definitely improved the past year but I do notice when I get flare ups, it affects my speech.. Not trying to use this as an excuse but its something that's on the back of mind as well.
