Adult stuttering diagnosis in BC Canada?

Adult stuttering diagnosis in BC Canada? Good day, I am a person with a stutter who has never been diagnosed anywhere in my life, and recently I wanted to get this part of my life somewhat sorted out. I went to a walk-in clinic in British Columbia, Canada for referral to a speech pathologist for a possible stuttering diagnosis. The doctor asked me about my stuttering history and told me I was going to get a checkup by a professional doctor and put me into the lineup for a wait. Do any of you have the experience of being diagnosed with stuttering as an adult? How did that process go, and would it be covered under MSP? I have heard diagnoses that cost thousands and I am very financially tight right now. Thank you for any responses! :))
