I often experience the same as you. There are moments when words flow out smoothly, but then in other situations, the same words become difficult to say, yet at another moment, they come out effortlessly. This makes me realize that stuttering is a result of thought and other factors. I noticed that in moments of fluency, there are no prior thoughts; it's something very silent that I don't notice while speaking, it happens automatically without effort. Before the words, there's no thought of control or anticipatory anxiety or anything. But getting our mind accustomed to always being like that is difficult, as we constantly reinforce stuttering, perhaps unconsciously or consciously. Have you completely overcome your stuttering?
