It gave me anxiety and is one of the reasons I stopped working. A nickname helped me a lot, but then gave me the anxiety of "what if they ask what it stands for in full". However, nickname still helps a lot, unless the people make me uncomfortable when using it by saying my full name while giggling to the people I am introducing myself to, as if I am saying something weird.
