Early on when things were going bad job-wise and social-wise I let it limit my options and I dropped out of school several times to save my ego from perceived embarassment. Perseverance and a FTW attitude eventually helped me. These days the concept of social inclusion curbs alot of the discrimination and social mentality that Gen X and older generations had to contend with. It wasn’t anything to have someone in an interview just say it wasn’t going to be a good fit and leave it at that. Eventually I learned to keep trying and count my blessings but also not be a push-over. I think everyone eventually comes to an impasse and makes the mental switch to fight the stuttering monster, for better or worse. For some, it comes sooner or later than others.
