Speech therapy was largely useless for me. Tackling the emotional and psychological causes has been the best thing for overcoming my stutter. It takes awareness and dedication. I see my stutter as a symptom of emotional dysregulation. When my emotions are a mess, so is my speech. When I'm emotionally balanced, I don't stutter at all. It's taken a long time and a lot of work to get to this point. Screw speech therapy if it's not working. Get therapy to work on deeper issues.
