I study criminology and I had to work with underage kids who did an illegal act that if they would be +18 they would get a severe sentence. I didnt tell them really. I send an email for an application, then they called me so they heard that I had a stutter. During my interview we didn't really focus on my stutter even if I stuttered really bad. Nor with other people, I never say that I stutter. They hear it anyway. In the end of my interview, they asked what I would do if the young adults ridiculed me or didn't listened to me because of my stutter. We openly talked about the difficulties and the struggles of my speech impediment. After that they warned me that it would not be easy because I stutter but they wanted me because I had the best interview compared with the rest. I got the job not because of my stutter but because of other qualities. We did talk about my stutter because it is important to talk about because it could effect my work results.
