Hey I feel that a lot too. It’ll take so long I just say forget it. Because so many times when I actually DO end up getting the word out, I’ve heard people say “all that for one word”? Makes me feel like a waste of time. Truth be told at least for me, the inner humiliation of giving up feels a lot worse than the humiliation you feel from someone else teasing you. There’s humiliation either way which sucks, so you pick your poison. But even if it takes me forever to say a word, no one can take away from me the fact that I got it out. I won. But I might always feel like an idiot for quitting. This doesn’t apply to just stuttering, but I’ve found this to be true for me. Hope this can help! Much love
