I discovered something new about myself

I discovered something new about myself I have always been an introvert and avoided talking in social settings as much as possible. However, for the past couple of months, I have made efforts to put myself outside my comfort zone just to get more comfortable around people. This made realise a sad truth about myself. While my efforts have paid off and I am now more comfortable in social situations; I discovered that I still avoid talking most of the time when I feel I’m going to stutter. So, I listen more than I talk; which really doesn’t feel good. I know some people here are going to tell me to embrace it and not be afraid; but continuing to talk when I know I’ll have a blocker, will make me anxious. And my stammering worsens when I am anxious.
