My parents are in IT and IT was always my backup option. I got my bachelors in accounting and finance and I wanted to go into investment backing so I studied for the CFA but once I came back to America. I found out that to break into IB it’s about who you know and not what you know and that it also involves a lot networking. I naturally went into IT and started focusing on cybersecurity, I got a decent amount of certifications ( I know they don’t matter as much) but I really learned a lot from that. The main thing that was holding me back was work experience so that’s why I got this internship. If I just fight through it a bit more I know I’ll get a job but as you said it’s definitely not a stable industry, but at this point IT seems like the best option to survive
