Yezzir that's exactly my point. I still think cancer research is more important since many more ppl die. I'm merely saying there are other fields of research that aren't as important as stuttering but because said fields are hot and trending topics, many more ppl care. No one gives a damn if u can't talk. Our struggle by it's very nature is a silent personal one which ppl around us dont even realize or are aware of. And yet it affects every single aspect of our lives. We literally determine our life paths because of it and do bad in school and drop out of college and can't move up in the workplace and can't flirt with people we might be interested in, can't talk about our day, our stresses, can't raise our hands in class despite knowing the answer, can't do presentations or introduce ourselves, hard to make friends and hard to meet others like us. And speech therapy doesn't do shit. Apologies for the rant but I'm 21 now and srsly, I hate it
