Honestly, go with your gut. I decided in HS that I was going to take a stand against my own stutter and began taking jobs where I was the face of the company. Meaning, I was the first-person people spoke with over the phone, at the counter, in a court room, etc. Don't allow your friends, family, academic professors, or anyone for that matter take the right away to want to better yourself. How you speak is a special trait and characteristic that will always be a part of you.
