The question “what’s your name?” After some incidents of being unable to say my name (in the form of a block) when someone asks, “what’s your name” (or it’s variations), the question is now a trigger for me. It seems it’s a full mind/body response at this point. My body completely tenses, I block for an extended period of time, and I’m almost in a dissociative state where I feel out of body. Is this a trauma response? Would therapy help me with this? If so, what kind? Would speech therapy help me with this or is this completely psychological? Thanks in advance!
