I don’t know your educational background in the field. Nor your background in the mental health field. These two factors are a beyond important when dealing with young PWS. Also,your life experiences are your own individual experiences. Not some young kids who doesn’t know you and you don’t know them. To influence a young PWS with no educational background is not wise. I get you stutter, but there are varying intensities of stuttering. By showing up as “Hey I’m an adult who stutters… look at me. I’m okay.” Could be very much taken as invalidating and dismissive, depending on what they may have already experienced in life with stuttering. They could have experienced trauma from speaking with a stutter… who knows? And that is exactly what I’m saying… you don’t know. Let the professionals do their job.
