Here is my hot take there will never be a pharmaceutical cure for stuttering, why? Because it is not caused by a defect in the brain, I believe that its caused by an incorrect learnt pattern of perceiving speech. I think that fundamentally the cause and therefore also the cure of stuttering comes from within. Our brains are fine, we have just built this complex misunderstanding of how speech is interpreted.
