There’s probably multiple perspectives on this— but listening to how others use disclosure helped me see there’s numerous ways of doing it. It’s not just telling people that you stutter. Letting yourself stutter can be a form of disclosure, so too can entering a speaking situation that’s scary. One of me IRL stuttering friends who works in finance told me that that he disclosed to douchebag finance bros by giving them complements— e.g., that was a nice presentation and I can say that as someone who stutters, your diction and cadence were really good. Anyway, it helped me realizing that there’s lots of ways to do this, and it’s dependent on who you are and why the situation is
