My husband is the same. When he sings, no stutter. He used to be a chef. When he worked in the kitchen, no stutter. But the minute he stepped out of the kitchen for a conversation, his stutter returned. It was crazy! I witnessed it once when I helped out one time at his work. Absolutely zero stutter when calling out orders etc. Really fascinating if you think about it.
