Sounds interesting. Someone should do some research on that kind of thing - I mean, we certainly don't want to remain in the anecdotal (where there are no controls or blinds of any sort). I've noticed myself that I'll sometimes pend my gestures to the stutter I'm carrying out. How excactly to conceptualize this, I don't know. Lots of factors are probably involved. However, I've never, *ever* had any trouble in instrumental music of the parallel sort you're suggesting. That's been one of the nice things about it for me: Here, things flow free of the usual obstacles found in speech. Of course, it's not performing the same function, and we know stutter is apt for variance across functions, so that's not really remarkable (just in case we were trying to make the case that instrumental music and speech are straightforwardly the same). I guess we call that a counter-anecdote. If we manage to scrape together enough of all these data instances, we'll almost have ourselves a study... ;)
