That’s why it’s not indexed and I am also almost 30 and I am getting out of it. I have had severe stuttering in the past. I worked on it. Sorry about your case but I disagree with the notion that it is genetic. I believe that due to ones enviroment it could seriously affect brain development and this cause a speech impediment. Which is why most stuttering occurs at a young age, and why most say that if left untreated it will be substantially harder to get rid of due to how the brain developed. So I disagree with your notion of just giving up cause you have no control. You do, the effort and time needed to help you will just be that much more. What I am pissed off of is that your here telling me that my advice is wrong. For that I say “fuck you”. Don’t come at me pointing fingers when I am trying to help someone. Especially if the piece of advice is to first “be okay with failing with fluency from time to time “. We all have been there and we all have been our hardest critic. Good luck with your case.
