If you ask chat gpt for a cure to stuttering, one of the possible treatments is beta blockers. Haven't tried them myself and not going to but supposedly it works by suppressing your nervous system, thus reducing your anxiety thereby lessening your stuttering. Not that anxiety causes stuttering but it works on the anxiety that happens when you start losing control over your speech when speech blocks occur. And I guess the anxiety from you anticipating that you'll stutter due to a history of it happening through your life.
