Yeah that’s totally fair. I guess it depends what kind of interaction you’re talking about. If you’re talking about someone who’s maliciously and intentionally making fun of you, then by all means say whatever you want! In my experience, when people “make fun of” stuttering, it’s either: 1) total ignorance and accident — they literally have no clue that you actually have a stutter 2) nervousness, trying to smooth over an awkward moment — they know something is different about the way you talk, and they don’t know how to respond so they respond badly out of surprise In both those cases, it’s not worth injecting bad feelings into the conversation. In the first case it’s just unnecessary, and in the second case it would make it all much worse.
