This happened to me. My boss said “I’m picking it up.” After panicking, I realized maybe she was doing it unconsciously. Maybe they’re doing it to show connection? TBH, most SLPS do not even understand dysfluency, so we can’t expect lay people to. This is trial by fire with a friendly (but confused) audience. Hold eye contact. begin. Speaking. Slowly. And. Enunciate. Every. Syllable. Reward yourself at end of each day for your hard work. Maybe even track progress, effort, etc. I bet you will make quick *and sustainable* progress
