I just took a long deep breath. What usually happens is after I catch my breath I try again where I left off and I still continue to block. Sometimes I would start my whole sentence but then I find myself stuttering even more at words I didn’t stutter at the first time. I pretty much keep to myself at school. I do have friends in a few of my classes, but doing my own things seems a lot more entertaining to me. Clubs terrify me. I’m a pretty social person (when I can be) but the thought of meeting new people and stuttering is something I don’t wanna sign up for. As for the medication, I was looking into citalopram. It’s an antidepressant but I’ve heard some people say they’ve received results from it. Another thing I actually just found out today is this SpeechEasy device but that’s more of a investment piece. From research it would work better in the long run though. Thanks for the advice! I’ll try some of the diaphragm breathing and see how I’ll do . :)
