I think this is fairly common. I've experienced this at various points in my life...though it may always be present, just at a lower level. I know what you mean when you say you're comfortable but not sure if you're happy. It feels like you're missing out on something! Stuttering, over time, forces us into a box as a result of all the negative interactions we face. The longer you wait to break out of your self-imposed box, the harder it will be. You may always stutter, but you don't always have to feel alone/asocial. If you need somebody to talk to who has/is going through the same thing, feel free to PM me.
