I have a similar story. In 9th grade my stutter was at its worst that it had been in a while, and because of that I didn’t participate at all in classes, and for presentations would regularly rely on accommodations. My French teacher didn’t let this slide though, instead calling on me to speak each and every class, and having me do presentations just like the other kids. After a while of consistent speaking in this class, the severity of my stuttering and nervousness behind it went down A LOT. Now, I’m really grateful that she kept pushing me to speak up no matter what.
