Like most have said, definitely mention it at the beginning of the interview (phone or in person). If you interview with multiple people, tell each one. It may help you stutter less because you are less worried to "get figured out" and it will help them understand when you do stutter. I also usually follow it up with a few quick reasons it's made me who I am in a positive way (resilient, hard worker since I've had to prove myself more than others etc). At the end of the interview I specifically ask if they have any concerns about hiring me. There will be people that won't want to hire you because of it but there will be a ton that don't care and even some that say things like "I used to stutter as a kid" "My relative stutters" "I used to have an employee that stuttered and he was the best employee I've ever had". Never forget that there are tons of reasons that people don't get hired. Just because you aren't selected for a job, it doesn't mean it's because you have a stutter. Don't put that extra stress on yourself to even put that thought in your head. Best to remember that anyone that doesn't want to hire you because of your stutter is person/place you don't want to work at/for anyway and on to the next! Good luck to you! Edit to change "beforehand" to "beginning of the interview"
