I've met two girls who have stutters. Both here in Japan who were students of mine at Children's English school. I also have a stutter but it doesn't affect my ability to do the job. Both over time improved a great deal, but other students did make fun of them at times. They never let it show but those comments hurt me, and probably hurt them more.
