my speech therapist would have me practice a technique he called advertising. We'd go out on an outing or make a phone call, and he would make me start with "hi, my name is XXX and I stutter. Anyways blah blah.." It wouldn't help the stutter directly, but it would take the pressure off which would help me feel more at ease. I don't do it often in the real world since it makes me feel awkward to introduce myself to some rando and me like "yo dawg i stutter" but I've been thinking about doing it now that my stuttering is kinda flaring up.
