You probably already know the words or sounds that you get hung up on. For me it forced me to expand my vocabulary so I could avoid them when possible. I might be weird. But, when I speak I kinda see it like a game of Guitar Hero. I can see the words coming up. I've been stuttering so long I'm good at knowing when they're coming. I can usually pick a different word and it goes barely unnoticed.
