In 2021, I was in a recovery room after an ablation procedure and nurse forgot to give me a call button. I was instructed to lay perfectly still to avoid bleeding. I had intense blocks when trying to ask for help and I started to cry, making it worse. Eventually got my phone and called family, crying about how “I couldn’t talk to my nurse”. She sadly overheard and thought I was insulting her for being too busy!!! And she understandably became very cold toward me - still providing proper care, but with coldness. I was horrified and sad… It was actually that episode that got me to learn better habits, and now I have control over my blocks.
