I relate with you 100%, and I often avoid phone calls when it’s more convenient to perform the task online instead. However, making doctor/dentist/vet appointments often can’t be done online. For me I’ve had enough of this taking over my ability to use one of the most important tools of the modern world: the telephone. I understand that where I am in my life I will be soon in a place where phone calls will be much more common and unavoidable. Soon I’ll be looking to buy real estate, applying for mortgages and jobs, getting married, etc. and all of these things inevitably are going to be facilitated by phone calls one way or another. I’d rather work on my phone fluency now in preparation than wait. That’s my logic. But believe me, if I would love to just do everything online still, and I don’t blame anyone who prefers to stay doing that.
